Homes & Interiors Scotland Exhibition 2009

The Murray & Murray exhibition at Homes & Interiors Scotland Exhibition

Building on the success of last years interior design showcase, many of the country's top interior designers once again created an inspirational walk through attraction of beautifully designed room sets, attracting over 12,000 visitors over the three day event.

We were delighted to have been invited by Malcolm Duffin Design & Decoration to hand craft the furniture for the kitchen diner.

This fine example of our work demonstrates cutting edge contemporary design built with the robust bespoke quality that has become the foundation of our success.

The Oak has been sourced from one single tree, and our book matched veneering skills allow the grain to follow a continuous horizontal pattern, creating interesting linear qualities and beautiful symmetry.

Partnered with the streamlined Stainless Steel Miele appliances and electric 'touch' open drawer systems this modular display can be adapted to suit most kitchen spaces.

The Stainless Steel Island furniture continues the use of contemporary materials, with an entertainment trough sink and flush mounted Induction Hob.

The furniture is complemented with a worktop made using the latest 'Concrete' skin technology that highlights the natural and organic beauty of concrete without any of the size and weight issues.

To complete the room set, we designed an oak table with stainless steel trim to match the kitchen & to continue the hand built quality into the colourful dining area.

For those who were unable to attend the show, we're pleased to announce the furniture will form part of a new display in our Glenrothes showroom. In addition to the show furniture this contemporary display will also see the addition of a monstrous 272 bottle wine wall to complement the design further. Completion expected mid October.
